Glenn Annie

This Historic Lakefront Home is truly a beautiful work of art. Glenn Annie, now called Tarry On was originally built in 1895.  It is the site from which the Amos & Andy radio program was broadcast in the 1930’s.

Freeman Gosden and Charles Corel, better known as Amos & Andy, vacationed here and would broadcast their program from the front porch by using a special hook-up with the radio station in Chicago.

Neighbors would often sit on the lawn and watch them do their live shows.  Below is sample of the Amos & Andy radio show. Enjoy and please share any other you find online!
