Majestic Lodge

Majestic Lodge was built in 1928 for the late William C. Grunow. Mr. Grunow founded Val-Lo-Will Chicken Farms which was located on land behind his lakefront mansion. When operating in the 1920’s and 40’s, the Val-Lo-Will Farms were one of the largest processors of poultry in the Midwest.

Mr. Grunow was also part owner of the Grigsby-Grunow Company which manufactured Majestic radios and Majestic appliances. His relatives started the Majestic Ski Hill on Geneva Lake. The ski hill closed when the main chalet burned in the 1980’s.
